Jadie
Carey, is a graduate of the Royal College of Music, and a successful and
highly respected cellist. Starting her career as a professional orchestral
and chamber player, and rising to co-principal of the National Symphony
Orchestra, she then teamed up with Ralph Allin and began to develop her
keen interest in jazz. In addition to commissioning an electric five string
cello, she plays both accoustic, and electric string bass. Combined with
her limitless technique, she quickly evolved an original and dynamic approach
to jazz bass playing. Jadie is now seen as a leading exponent of jazz bass,
and continues to amaze even the most accomplished bass players with her
virtuosity. |
